Cedar contains natural preservatives that make it resistant to insect damage, decay, and harsh weather conditions. Canadian western red cedar also has outstanding dimensional stability – meaning it resists warping and shrinkage - which is essential for a timber product to maintain its shape during its life, especially when used outdoors.
Western red cedar is an excellent thermal insulator, outperforming brick, concrete and steel. By resisting the extremes of temperature, it keeps the garden or hobby enthusiast warm in winter and cool in summer. It also has great acoustic insulation qualities.
Termites stay away from cedar because the naturally-occurring oils are toxic to them. Some other insects are repelled by the natural aroma of cedar.
It's lightweight but strong, has a fine, straight grain and uniform texture, and is resistant to splitting.
The colour and the grain ensure that anything built with western red cedar will be aesthetically pleasing. Most people prefer the natural look of wood to anything artificial, and western red cedar tends to complement other materials that are used alongside it, as well as fitting in aesthetically in a garden setting.
The natural fragrance of cedar is very pleasant and this is enhanced by the fact that it doesn't need to be treated with any preservative chemicals or waterproofing agents making time spent in your STILLA product enjoyable.
Western red cedar is the ultimate sustainable timber, producing fewer greenhouse gases, generating less water and air pollution, and needing less energy to produce than alternatives.
There's no need to lay down a concrete slab because you can get a cedar shed that comes with either, a rebated floor for level surfaces, or a heavy-duty floor if your ground is uneven.

We purchased a Willow shed direct from Stilla during 2020 lockdown. Delivery was as expected and offloaded onto the drive. Unpacking was easy and construction went smoothly as the instructions were clear and precise. We ordered the heavy duty floor kit as the site has a slight slope and I think it looks good with a bit of elevation. We oiled all the timber before assembly and were pleased with the appearance as the build progressed. The shed is a workshop and we had electricity connected as a result I have acquired a few new tools! The Willow replaced a very tired metal shed and is a great improvement to our backyard. Thanks Stilla.

I bought the shed to put my mobility scooters in and I needed a good quality shed to put them in. Having been a builders labourer for many years I'm very fussy when I buy a prefab product. I had bought a cedar shed 7 years ago from another company and it was the biggest piece of garbage I had ever seen. Your sheds looked like they were a well built product and when it came I was more than happy with what arrived at my home. It is the best quality shed that I have seen. It was so easy to put up. The only thing that would a good idea for optional extra would be a ramp like the one that I built. thanks heaps guys.

Very happy with all aspects of the shed. We purchased the shed as it was exactly the right size to replace our old metal shed which was rusting away after many years of service.
Peter - Avalon Beach, NSW
The shed was easily put together and the instructions well thought out. All in all I'm very happy with the shed. Thanks. 10/10

We are delighted with our shed and would like to thank you for your excellent customer service which enabled the building of this shed to proceed so efficiently. From the initial phone call with queries regarding certain structural questions to the final handover we have nothing but praise for the Stilla Group P/L - needless to say, your help was invaluable, and we would have no hesitation in recommending people to you.

Your customer support team went out of their way to give absolutely first-rate customer service, including one of them making themselves available by phone over the Easter holiday weekend in case I struck problems in assembling my shed kit. His communication skills and style are exemplary. I purchased the Stilla product because a. it was the only one I could find that would slot neatly into the space I had available to me, and b. it was the only shed I could find that had a door at the gable end, rather than one positioned on the long side wall. The Stilla shed seems to be of high quality and the kit components very well thought-out, cut, and packed. I found the Stilla experience to be very positive all round, many thanks.

The whole process, from ordering the Shed through delivery to receiving the item, I found very courteous, professional and fast. And of course looks amazing. According to my grandson, this is not a Shed, this is a beautiful Cubby House, his!! A very direct and quick answer for any inquiry. I will recommend the Stilla Sheds to everybody.

Product packaging arrived within time advised and no damage noted. Local available product could not match price and time of delivery. DIY instructions very easy to follow. THANKS GUYS!

I chose the Stilla Oxford cedar shed because of its dimensions and its appearance. I am completely inexperienced in terms of DIY, but even I could manage to put the shed together following the instructions in the accompanying manual. I am very happy with the quality of the shed. I love the way it looks, and I love the clever design which meant that something so impressive was relatively simple to build.
Karyn - Doubleview, WA
Liked the look of the shed - similar in size to my existing one, and I wanted cedar; can't stand the look or feel of a steel shed! Happy with the way it all fitted together, no problems assembling and completing the build. Instructions were easy to follow Would certainly recommend Stilla to friends wanting to buy a shed.

We have often admired this shed which is out front of the Ballina store, so now we decided to go ahead and purchase one. We really love this style and it's so much a great feature in our garden. Everyone is jealous... Thanks again.

We bought the Stilla Birch 6x3 shed, without the floor kit as its going on our balcony. We love our new shed. Thanks!
Charles - Erskineville, NSW
We purchased our Master Shed directly through Stilla. We found the service to be professional & very helpful with all our queries. The assembly instructions were easy to read & we had the shed erected in no time. Will recommend Stilla brand to friends if they are considering purchasing a shed.

The dealings over the phone and in person when I purchased the Oxford 6x9 Shed where very favourable. Delivery time was quicker than quoted, the only hiccup was there where no instructions provided in the delivery however, on informing the store a copy was emailed to me that afternoon and a hard copy posted to me which I received on the following Tuesday. I purchased the Stilla product because it was not a mainstream aluminium shed. The product showed character and rustic appeal, that my wife and I appreciated and preferred and the product has proved us correct. As regards to changing your products or client services, there is always room for improvement however I am more than happy with the way I was treated.

You guys deserves 7 stars for customer service. Very helpful with all queries related to the product. Prompt response through emails & phone calls. I have not experienced this level of service for an online purchase anywhere else. Product came well packaged without any damages. Delivery was very quick and I was able to track the package at every step. Excellent product - Stilla sheds are highly recommended. I will pick these any-day over the 'tin sheds'. This product looks good in photos and looks even better once put together. Easy to assemble and comes with comprehensive set of instructions. 10 Year warranty! Overall very happy & satisfied with all aspects of the purchase. And yes - glad I didn't go with the overseas made tin boxes that are totally unsuitable for Australian climate. Tin sheds become a furnace in summer and attract spiders and bugs all year around. Compared to the aesthetic look of the 'western red cedar' metal sheds look very ordinary in appearance and are prone to rust and corrosion.
