Let’s transport ourselves to the stunning natural landscapes of Canada, home to an exceptional timber, the Western Red Cedar. At Stilla, it’s our favourite timber for building Australian-made cedar garden sheds and studios. Imagining our products in your backyard will give you a sense of both the practical benefits and aesthetic beauty that comes with the Stilla experience. Not to mention the beautiful aromas that come with it.
What sets this cedar apart? It’s all in the details. A soft, lightweight timber, it strikes an impressive balance of strength and flexibility due to its straight grain, and an aromatic, slightly reddish hue.
But the magic of the Western Red Cedar is not just skin-deep; it’s built with incredible resilience to the weather we experience in here Australia. Its naturally embedded preservatives make it resistant to decay, harsh weather and insect damage, especially the dreaded termite. Whether it’s the sun of our Australian summers or chilling snowy winters, the Red Cedar remains steadfast, maintaining its shape throughout the seasons, thanks to outstanding dimensional stability.
The best part? Our Australian made cedar timber garden sheds and studios are not just easy on the eye, but also simple to install. Western Red Cedar’s light yet robust nature pairs with its fine, straight grain for easy workmanship, guaranteeing an efficient setup. Its uniform texture and steadfast resistance to splitting make your Stilla product easy to assemble.
Now, picture this: it’s a chilly winter morning, and you’re tucked away in your Stilla Cedar Studio, sipping a warm cup of coffee. Or perhaps it’s a sweltering summer afternoon, and you’re cooling off in your Stilla Cedar Garden Shed, escaping the scorching heat after mowing the lawn. Dreamy? Definitely! And it’s more than possible with Western Red Cedar’s exceptional thermal insulation, it outperforms even brick, concrete and steel. Adding to its charm, is the cedar’s acoustic insulation, perfect for some quiet reflection or amidst your bustling hobbies
Now, let’s talk about the natural aroma of the cedar. The gentle, woodsy fragrance imbues a sense of tranquillity, making time spent in your Stilla garden shed or studio a treat for the senses. Moreover, this beautiful timber doesn’t need additional preservative chemicals or waterproofing agents, amplifying its natural charm.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that this beautiful timber shed or studio is not only enhancing your outdoor space and is also a gesture towards a sustainable ecosystem? The Western Red Cedar is indeed the ultimate sustainable timber, producing fewer greenhouse gases, generating less water and air pollution, and requiring less energy during production. Beautiful, practical, enjoyable, and sustainable—your Stilla Cedar Shed ticks all the right boxes!
By bringing together the best qualities of this extraordinary timber with Stilla’s exceptional craftsmanship, we deliver both function and beauty to your outdoor spaces. We believe in creating an outdoor oasis as unique as you. Our time sheds and studios are more than ‘just a shed’; they are used for creative workshops, a quiet sanctuary, and dare we say it, to store garden tools.
